I installed a fresh Windows 7 32 bit , installed all drivers and the latest ControlPoint Security Drivers and Manager – didn’t work. Do you already have an account? The problem before is that the Broadcom USH effectively hides the fingerprint reader from the system, thus severely restricting it’s functionality unless the supplied software is used, which itself is pathetic.

Hi all, I resolved this problem, i had to upgrade firmware of CotrolVault chip can download as Dell recommended.
I created a bootable dos usb stick and did a few tests. Enjoin and good luck to you.

Hi cucchuoi When you say you got it working, do you mean with the Embassy Wave software that Dell provides? I read somewhere that you need the TPM chip enabled to use finegrprint fingerprint reader, tried that but it did nothing for me.

Latitude ,can the internal speakers be upgraded? Or do you mean Windows natively recognizes it? I can’t give you the exact error message because Windows 7 and the ControlPoint finggerprint is german but I think it wouldn’t help if i could, it’s just saying that there was an error Does anybody have a suggestion how to fix this problem? The fingerprint reader is connected and does respond, but the ControlPoint software throws an error if Fingerpeint try to enroll my fingerprint the error doesn’t show up if I don’t touch the sensor.
